One room that does everything, beautifully
Sycamore Grove cooks, hosts, helps with homework and pours the Friday wine, all in the same room. The scheme treats the kitchen as a piece of furniture rather than a fitted unit: painted cabinetry in a settled green, brass that will fingerprint and mellow, and a dining space dressed warmly enough to make the table the gravitational centre of the house.
Settled greens, warm metals
The room everyone ends up in

From the brief: dinner parties happen at the island whether we plan them or not.

Curated for this scheme

All cabinetry. Settled, not minty; reads differently morning and evening.

Three over the island, dimmed low for the Friday wine.

Window seat softening, in a stripe that hides crumbs honourably.
We have kept every choice in service of the table. If the island is where life happens, the room should admit it and dress for it.
